Tubes:Nasogastric Tubes
I put this video up because I relate to the nurse who is a little squeemish about NG tubes. I'm sure I'm not alone in this, it is a very uncomfortable procedure for the patient. Knowing that it is for the benefit of the patient at least for me doesn't make it any easier in this case. I feel that the floor I work on though would help me through a situation like this and I was quite proud to have this thought while watching this video. Nurses need to work together as a team (which sometimes does not happen) and try to recognize each others strengths and weaknesses. Working as a team makes everything go much smoother for the staff and most importantly the patient.
